Abstract

The preparation of electrodes with a new nanocomposite material obtained by silver (Ag) nanoparticle deposition on fluorine doped tin oxide/polyaniline/graphiticcarbon nitride film (PANI/g-C3N4/AgNPs) is developed. The PANI/g-C3N4/AgNPs nanocomposite material is characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD) patterns, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), energy dispersive X-ray diffraction (EDX), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS). An amperometric sensing platform is constructed for electrochemical detection of hydrazine using PANI/g-C3N4/AgNPs and exhibits a wide linear range of 5–300 mM with a limit of detection (LOD) of 300 μM (S/N = 3). Moreover, the amperometric currents are highly stable in the presence of interfering species. These results demonstrate that PANI/g-C3N4/AgNPs nanocomposites have great potential in hydrazine electrooxidation.
